I have someone that wants to buy my AR-10 6.5 CM in California. I’m inTexas. My buyer has been told by his FFL that the gun can be accepted but it can’t be transferred until it is made compliant........unless it’s on a banned list. He was told he could find that list online. I’m surprised the FFL couldn’t just tell him. Can anybody tell me if I can complete this sale?

It does have a collapsable stock and a threaded barrel but no flash hider, it has a thread protector on it. I know the stock would have to be changed by the FFL dealer.

I would have him send you the stock and grip to make it cal legal and then ship it in a legal configuration.

My FFL said to have people preconfigure for Cal legal prior to shipping but i'm not 100% sure how the law reads.
