I feel like people are grouping based on politics in there response and attitude. I feel those on the left are believing all the hype and scare tactics and those on the right are thinking its all a scam and a hoax. I reject both of these and think the virus is real but its risk can be mitigated fairly easily by most people just by boosting our immune system. Those that can't do that and are high risk should self isolate IMO.

COVID19 fatalities have dropped to basically statistically zero now that summer has hit. I was expecting this as summer hit and people got sun there vitamin D levels would rise and reduce the seriousness of COVID19 just like it does the flu every single year. Its not the warmth of the summer but the exposure to the sun that reduces sickness due to the flu every year. When winter time comes and peoples vitamin D level goes down COVID19 seriousness will go back up and it will start making people sicker again. You can mitigate this for you and your family by getting Vitamin D supplements and take them daily. Get them now and prepare now for serious lock downs this winter. You can get a years worth of Vit D on amazon for 20 bucks.

[_AC_SL1000_]

You want Vit D3 and about 10,000 IUs daily. You get 20,000 IU's of Vit D in full sun in a bathing suit for about 20 minutes. Vit D won't keep you from contracting COVID but could keep you from it making you seriously ill. The populations that are hospitalized by COVID19 are also the same populations that are vitamin d deficient. Vitamin Ds role in respiratory immunity has been known for decades but for some reason the media does not talk about it at all. Don't be scared just prepared.

I feel like its smart to prepare for government over reaction and store up supplies now in the summer so when the virus bounces back this winter we will be set. Stuff that we would need for a couples months of isolation if the governments flips out and shuts everything down. What do you need if you had to stay at home for two months? WHat would people panic buy and strip from the shelves? Thats the stuff you want to get now and have a supply of.

These are things i saw people panic buying in March
Toilet Paper
Canned meats like Spam and canned chicken
Dry Goods like Beans, Rice, Pasta,
Vitamins especially C and D
Bottled Water
Guns and Ammo

AMEN Bob!
The first paragraph of your posting is right on the mark! (The rest is good info too!)...

Honestly, I think a lot of the sometimes unwarranted "fear" of this virus varies depending on one's personality, and in some ways, one's level of personal responsibility/intelligence (and I don't mean to say anyone is not intelligence IF they do happen to be very anxious about being exposed to Covid 19 either).

The people who tend to be more independent thinkers (and odds are, more conservative politically), are generally not "scared" of catching Covid as much, and they understand what they need to do FOR THEMSELVES to stay healthy.
The people who have a more liberal/progressive mindset, and tend to rely on the government/media to tell them the straight facts about everything, are usually the ones that appear to be most frightful about what is going on.

Last week, I took part in an online high school board meeting (I'm a board member) where we talked about the upcoming school year and there were a lot of board members that are just FREAKING OUT, simply because of the way the mainstream media is reporting all of this latest Covid stuff.
Even though I attempted to calm some of their fears (especially as it relates to their children returning to school in another month or so), the people with the more liberal bent seemed to be the ones not listening to anything I was trying to say. Like Don Lemon or Rachel Maddow were watching out for them/their family's welfare more than I would be. Like our kids attending the same classes together meant nothing to increase my level of sincerity in their eyes!
So, after the meeting I privately emailed the BOD members a couple of links which I used to try and help me understand the "reality" of this Covid thing.

All of the assertions made in the first 2 interviews of the same doctor are derived from the collection of 4 months worth of real data (from around the world) and not from the highly erroneous "modeling" which we all were exposed to at the beginning of all of this.

In providing this info here, I am only hoping to help try and bring some level of comfort for those of you who may also be very anxious about this latest "Covid Relapse", and to possibly help you understand your own "risk level" at the same time. No matter what risk-group each of us falls into, we all need to be sane and mindful about what the actual data says is really going on.

This doctor, who uses his expertise to help politicians shape public policy, says the lock down itself may end up costing more lives than the virus, let alone there really is no solid scientific evidence that masks OR social distancing does any good in the first place (that's why those parameters change from country to country, all around the world).
If you think the above 3 week old video isn't current enough, here's one he made just a few days ago (yes the "Covid-positive" rate IS going up since the first video, at the same time the Covid death rate is dropping! He calls this transition "good news"):

Also, if you haven't seen it before, Florida (ironically the latest Covid "hot spot") is doing a fabulous job of posting their data and they update it every day.
Look at the tables here (especially on page#3 where they show the sickness, hospitalization and mortality data sorted by age).

According to the FL. data as of today: If you are under the age of 65 and get Covid-19, your chance of dying from it is @ .254% meaning that even if you are hospitalized for Covid, you are still 99.76% likely to survive it from that age group.

It goes without saying that there ARE people who are "high risk" and they still certainly need to be as careful as they can. Bob's suggestions about vitamin supplements and getting/staying healthy would certainly benefit for all of us too!

Stay well my friends, both physically and mentally.

Yep there is no reason to be afraid at all just take your vitamins get outside and move on with your life. People used to think you needed Vit D just to avoid rickets but its essential to maintain your immune system especially for respiratory illnesses. Most people are not getting enough sun anymore and the darker your skin the more sun you need to maintain Vit D levels. There is a reason that we have a flu season its not the weather but vitamin D levels that are effecting it. If you just took a hour walk everyday it would of course make you healthier on so many levels and of course help your hunting season.

The virus is spreading in the Southwest right now why? Cause its hot as hell out there so folks are staying inside and not getting sun and that means they are not getting Vit D and the virus spreads in doors not outside.

Yup... You're right...

Another thing that I've found to be indispensable in preventing catching colds/the flu is that I've been taking probiotics for quite a few years too. The microbes/bacterial in your "gut" really help your immunities and they also increase the efficiency of how your body will absorb your food/meds/dietary supplements.

Even when my kids were elementary school/middle school aged (the little disease carriers I used to lovingly call them), I NEVER got the MI. winter colds/flu that they would inevitably bring home with them. My wife was/is employed by the local school district too. So even today, she is still the BIG disease carrier... LoL...

I gotta get out and do some more walking/exercising. I still have the extra Covid-20 (I could stand to lose @ 20#) from being locked up in the house.

This is all great info guys. I fall into the "not worried about it" camp. For a lot of reasons, and you guys just added a few more good reasons.

Aside from the disease, all this idle-ness of the population this spring and summer is largely responsible for the unrest and rioting. And I realize the Marxist factors involved and am far, far more worried about that stuff than I am me or my family catching this disease.

This virus reminds me of the summer of sharks years ago when the press was reporting on shark attacks making it seem like there were alot more shark attacks when in reality there wasn't anymore or less than any other summer.

LoL...
Talk about getting busted...

That's nearly as bad as when Pookey Jones told his boss that he was sick and in the hospital, so he wouldn't be able to make it into work that day (take a close look)...
