Precision Firearms use Maxim bolts but they coat them with pretty finishes and you can buy them seperately or with a more expensive barrel. They do use good blanks but like you said, you don't need the $500 to shoot 1/2moa. All day long with a Satern Barrel so thats my vote.

So I checked out the BCG I purchased from Precision Firearms on Saturday.  I pulled the bolt out and it lacks the machined rings just behind the lugs.  Maybe I ended up with a AA bolt from PF?  He assured me it was a 6.5 bolt though, it did have a sharpie mark on the plastic tube stating 6.5 so I'm sure it is a 6.5.  I will buy another bolt in the future just to have a spare or two around just in case.  I do like having backups and so forth for certain things.

If you decide to get a Maxim bolt to go with the Lija Barrel, just go straight to them. http://www.maximfirearms.com/

As Adam told you, there barrels are headspaced to the Maxim Bolt. I'm also sure what ever Mark sold you is good.

I got my barrel today.  I'm excited.  I was going to cerakote my upper/lower/handguard but I think I'll save my money for the moment.  Upper and lower is getting picked up Friday morning.

If it shoots Grendel ammo its a Grendel. They say 264LBC "technically isn't a Grendel" but then they call it a grendel when it suites them for example when the gun that kills the caribou on the front cover of there book they call it a grendel not a 264 LBC (it was a BHW barrel) . I wouldn't play there cultish game i would just call your build a Grendel build. The whole game they play is to make people think or feel like they don't have a real Grendel. You can ride the bus but have to sit in the back.

Got my upper/lower today.  I threw the upper and handguard with barrel nut and mounting screws on my kitchen scale.  It read 21oz for a 12" long M-Lok handguard with the dustcover and forward assist installed.  Seems pretty light to me.  Plus compared to an Mega MKM/MML I saved about $150 and I'm pretty sure this set is lighter since the upper is forged.  When I can get pictures to send themselves from phone to email to photobucket I will post the image here.  The top rail is contiguous too, there's no weird double rail or gap, just one uniform rail at 12 O'Clock.
