Quick pig hunt up by Porterville, Ca, less than 3hrs from load the truck to bacon in the bag. Barely got out of the truck, find water, find pigs. Jumped a couple of solo sows, then we found a herd. I shot over the back of his big brother who was pushing 3 sows as he ran away. Then while we were searching for the big guy to get a second shot, his smaller brother trotted out just begging to go home with me, so I obliged him. The Grendel shooting 100gr ttsx rolled him on the first broadside shot but he jumped back up and headed downhill. I finished him off with a second shot between the ears at about 75 yards. I quartered him out, put him on ice and then spent the rest of the weekend pulling bass out of a private ranch pond. Great weekend get away.

Did you use a guide or is this a public land hunt?
Das ist des Jägers Ehrenschild, daß er beschützt und hegt sein Wild, weidmännisch jagt, wie sich’s gehört, den Schöpfer im Geschöpfe ehrt.
