I went out to the desert today wife a couple friends and shot a few factory 123gr Amax through the new 18in Liberty barrel from the last barrel buy. I chronied 5 with an average MV of 2533fps. Temp was about 80 degrees with a slight breeze coming in from the left to the right. As you see I through a couple shots but for the most part it was hitting where the crosshairs where when it went off.

My sons got a cheap scope on that rifle "sniper" brand. Its going to get my Redfield Battlezone when the 22in barrel comes in and i put the Redfield Revolution on the 22in. I know i can do better with a better shooting rest.

I have the Redfield Battlezone on my 18in now but it will go on my son's 18in Grendel and i'll be using the Redfield Revolution 6X18 on my 22in Grendel II.

My experience with the Liberty barrels is that they take a couple hundred bullets to get real accurate. They are unlapped and need broken in before you can load fully out to there potential. At least what i have observed.

Had good luck with a friend's bull grendel putting a Nikon 223 on it back when they had the deal with the AR mount for free. I was pretty impressed with the scope. (It's the bigger variable)

Thinking about one of the lower power AR focused Nikon's, anyone play with those?
