Hello, Just now checking in after a month. I hunt, presently with an X-bolt 6.5 Creedmoor. I wanted a semi-auto for deer hunting. Something that I could hunt deer with and stay in the stand with after dark and hit Yote's. I built a DPMS large format 6.5 Creedmoor, shot great but too heavy for me. Sold the DPMS Creedmoor. A buddy bought a 20-inch Radical firearms upper in 6.5 Grendel, I liked it but thought it could be a bit shorter and lighter and still useful for East coast deer and yote hunting. Picked up a 16" Anderson 6.5 Grendel barrel, built an upper and am in the middle of evaluating it. I have made a few posts already.

Thank for the support!

Welcome!  6.5 Grendel is reputed to hit the sweet spot between .5.56 NATO and .308 Winchester.  I chose to go the more expensive route and went 5.56 NATO and .308 Winchester in ARs.
