I believe it's also called the 6mmAR but I'm usually more wrong than right. I'd love to go to 6mm since it's always been my favorite caliber. I have 2 6.5 Grendels and would like something a bit smaller but I don't know if there are any standard chambers. Should I be asking over on 6mmBR?

boomer look no further than AR15Performance for your 6mmAR barrel, bolt, and dies. Harrison over there is highly regarded all over the country for the products he produces and you will find nothing but outstanding reviews on them. He calls his 6mmAR chambering the 6mm Predator. Very reasonably priced I might add. I went over to his site just now and it states he will be out of stock till spring 2018. Bummer! Since this is a wildcat cartridge there will be small variations in chamber dimensions, throat length and design from shop to shop but you could count on Harrison's pipe to be a shooter. Since he is out, you might check with Steve Satern. He does't list this chamber on his site, but you never know he might just have a reamer. Steve is also a great resource and mind, and rest assured you would receive a premium product. Both these guys know their stuff and have been around a long time. This is undoubtedly the easiest wildcat to load for and since you are already shooting 6.5 Grendel you have the brass. Neck size and load. Of course there are many more variations of the 6mmAR that require fire forming your brass but that extra performance is always pretty cool!

Jon W,
Thanks for that info -- I'll check into both manufacturers.

BHW is another one to check, their website goes by columbia river arms now, and they have a few in stock. They call it the 243lbc, and is the same chamber as AR15performance 6mm predator. I have both actually, it's my favorite caliber. Very versatile.

Thanks for that info -- might just be what I'm looking for. I'm in south Florida and prepping for Irma since it's been shown coming right up the middle of the state and we'll get it first so got to make sure everything has been taken care of.

Everybody here seems to be working hard to button everything up tight. That's nice of you to worry and I know that the people in Texas need a lot of that for a long time in the future. Over here in Florida we're used to flooding and rain but the high wind is what really does us in.

How did you fair? I'm in Venice and we only lost 4 trees. Two were big though. No damage to house or cars thank God! We got so lucky here.

By chance were you at knights trail last week shooting a 6.5 Grendel?

Nothing happened to my property but the wind did take down some trees in the area. A house just up the street had a tree fall on the roof and did some damage. They got it fixed enough to keep out rain -- I guess the real work starts soon on the damage.
