It's a back and forth stripping.  Steel mag.  Looks to be more roomy as well - probably can do a bit longer than 2.26" (no doubt some feedback about that on the web).

Eight rounds should be absolutely no problem - they slipped in very easy.  I'd like to see more.  Only way to know is to fire it.  I'm headed to the range today, I'll report back.

Very frustrating day at the range.  Not only was the PRI mag a jammomatic, but I was getting jams with my original mag and the gun was throwing brass all over the place.  The only thing I can come up with there is light primer strikes because I replaced the original firing pin with a titanium unit.  The original would leave a pretty good dent in the primers when slammed home on a new round and that bugged me, so I thought I'd try a titanium pin, but I think I just "fixed" something that didn't need fixing and caused another problem.

Back to the drawing board.  I wont get a chance until next week end, so....

Sorry to hear of the troubles.  Glad all went safely at least!

chalk it up as experience on the firing pin and mag.

Ordered 4 of 'em!  And get this, the proprietor called me not half an hour later to confirm and ask about a shipping method that would save me ten bucks.  Talk about customer service!

I'll still believe it when I see them, but thus far it looks like the real deal.

Thanks,
Oly

Well I'll be!  They showed up - brand new 10 round 30 RAR mags!  Not sure where he's getting them, but they seem to still come in after he orders them so...

They sure are nicely made, never a jam or hangup in my upper(s).

Weight and balance of the gun is just right with only 9 rounds in the all metal mags.
