Maxim Firearms has handguards, BCG's, upper receivers, lower receivers, and charging handles coming. Heres a rifle build with these parts.I'm told matched receiver sets and handguard combos with be around 600 bucks.

Parts are beginning to surface on classified sales boards for DPMS Gii rifles (folks are starting to replace barrels and other parts)

Rece ivers are the key to breaking this thing wide open but will DPMS parts work with non DPMS receiver...

I suppose that’s the genesis of this post to share our experiences and figure out what works with what BUT we ave to start the discussion around receiver sets.

F4 Defense says they are following DPMS patents and so I assume that means pin sizes and locations and BCGs will be comparable.

POF Revolution is designed to be different , and therefore not compatable with G2.

Do we know any more on Maxim’s design, will it be its own design/improvement and compatable with G2 or only some parts....

I see a lot of folks getting their own barrels and hand guards and seeking a host receiver set for them - plain and simple it’s going to have to be available and affordable and I suspect the sales will steadily roll in on those...

Group Buy???

The barrels that we are making are compatible with the G2, I Know the Maxim uppers and lowers are also compatible. The issue is making sure that we do not infringe on the patented aspects of the G2, the following are the ones I know of, #1 the cuts over the chamber on the barrel,#2 twin ejector, #3 o- ring under the extractor,#4 removable feed ramp and lastly#5 the special springs in the ejectors. If I have miss stated anything I would welcome correction.

Steve i'm not sure if having duel ejectors is really patiented after all the savage MSR10 has duel ejectors.

I found this site doing a search and Post #1 of this thread shows a link for AR Performance 16" 308 Barrel however when I went to the sight I'm not seeing any mention of a 308 16" barrel. Maybe I looking in the wrong place or someone could point me in the right direction.
Thanks
