I'll post some reloads when I get some time to send a group down range.

Anyway I contacted Anderson and someone responded that it was not normal to have the smaller threads and to send my info to him and he will get a new barrel out to me. I sent my info late thursday night so hopefully tomorrow (MON) I will get a update.

Josh

Any update from Anderson? Did you contact DTT as well???

DTT clearly shows:
  • 5/8x24 TPI threaded muzzle.

This is from my Anderson 16" 6.5 Grendel barrel. 6 shots at 221 yards with the widest spread at 2.778 inches. This is 1.2 MOA. I am by no means a marksman and it was a bit windy. On that day it beat out my 24" Radical Firearms 6.5 Grendel and was just beat by my 22" Browning 6.5 Creedmoor.

Not too bad for a $100 barrel and low budget rifle.

I have found this barrel is picky with factory cartridges. It hates Hornady sst and Wolf Steel, (10+ inch spread at 100 yards) but shoots Hornady  ELD match well. I suspect it would improve with hand loads.

No update yet. I just emailed the guy a hour ago to ask for a update. My email last Friday may have got lost in the shuffle.
I did not contact DTT yet. If I can't get anywhere with Anderson then I will have to . I'm sure Anderson does not want these Barrels out there with the risk of somebody putting a 5.56 brake on it.
(Not me of course [smile] ). So I imagine they will respond.

I called them and had a return ups ticket in my inbox within an hour. Mainly because I had ordered a break with 5/8 threads.

I ended up calling Anderson because I had not heard anything over email and it turns out they sent me the info last week but I never got it. Even when they resent the info I only received the Return number from Anderson and not the UPS info. I don't know if UPS has a issue with Hotmail or not.
I have the return # so I think I am just going to send it back on my dime, It can't be that much !
My question is, did you notice a different return address than the one on the website or should I just send it to that address with the return number ?

ANDERSON MFG
1743 ANDERSON BVLD

I spoke with James Billingsly

I would give them another call about a return ticket.. not trying to be a penny pincher or a cheap a$$. But you ordered a product that was not within their spec..
To be honest, the reason I even sent mine back was I ordered a muzzle break for 5/8 threads. Hope this helps

Cool, Thanks for the response .
I'm sending mine back for the same reason. I have a VG6 muzzle brake for it. Although the 1/2-28 thread protector with .710 od fits the barrel perfectly and looks good.
