Has anybody used 75-77gr BTHP bullets on coyotes. I'm looking for a heavy hitting bullet that doesn't do much pelt damage for my 5.56 rifles and I would like to know if these bullets would be a good choice.

I dropped a coyote this spring with a 77gr nosler CC. about 50yds, coyote dropped at shot, seen hair fly, walked up to where it was, there was blood and hair everywhere, but it ran off....never found it, good blood for a little ways then nothing. we think we found it about a week alter dead, and half eaten about 100yds away.
So in my opinion the jury is out until i get another one.

I use Hornady 75 gr BTHP match ammo than reload the same . Great very accurate round with excellent terminals on coyotes / hogs an deer. Not to much damage on yotes usually about 1-1.5 inch exit hole . But will blow up a fox .
