getting ready for the weekend. i checked the chamber for seating depths lastnight and i am very happy. at 2.295 most bullets are .020-.050 off the lands. a few need to be loaded shorter but all in all i am very happy now. if you notch the mag you can hit the lands with all of them but the berger and it will be close.

I will redo the test when i have a fired case to make a gauge out of. i like to size my oal modified case to exactly what i am going to set the shoulder at when loading. it is a more accurate representation of loaded ammo that way.

got out to the range today. didn't do any accuracy testing just compared velocity between the 2 chambers here are the results

the pressures are higher for the same charge. so i will be starting my ladders lower for the next test for accuracy the 87tnt load from the first barrel is shooting nice in the savage also. i will do a complete ladder to check the nodes though.

I am now taking orders. I want to do them in groups so the first order will be placed on or around feb. 27th to march 1st. the barrels will take 6-8 weeks they say.

the barrels will be 4140 cmv 1-9 twist and come with bolt that will be headspaced to the barrel. I will also be polishing the chambers and feed ramps. I will also be beveling the ejector and polishing it. -- just a note if you haven't read up. The Bobcat uses an AR15Performance 800 series bolt and extension. they are included. milspec bolts will not work

the barrels will get to me bare I will cerekote graphie black at no charge, manganese phosephate for 20.00 or leave naked no charge of course.

You can choose your exact barrel profile when ordering - not the normal group buy where everyone has to get the same barrel.

257 Bobcat Starter kit $595.00 plus shipping Includes:
1 - up to 24" barrel/bolt
1 - hornady modified bushing die set -- you will need a 279-281 bushing
100 - 6.5x47 lapua cases converted ready to shoot.
for fluting add $90.00
order to delivery 6 - 8 Weeks

Individual prices:

18-24" barrels with bolts 395.00 plus shipping

Got to the range today beautiful day out 39-40 degrees. got a few loads ironed out and a few more to retest. i really like the new chamber it is going to be an excellent performer

The nosler 100 and the berger 115's will be my long range rounds. going to retest 35.8 cfe223 with 3 3 round strings and 5 over the chrono to get the average speed and the 100 nbt will be retested at 38.3, 38.6, 38.9 and see if we can find a winner.
