What about 90 grain bullet. I see these as a very popular selection.

I'm interested in whatever twist works best for this cartridge. 22" sounds about right for bench rifle. Prefer 5/8 threads. Any idea on cost for the barrels?

I previously voted for 1:7, but have since visited the Sierra site and found they say "1:6.5 or faster" for their heavier mk bullets. Since those are most likely for me, I'm changing my vote to 1:6 or 6.5. I should have checked first rather than guessing... sorry!

I would be interested to hear what Steve thinks about 224Val vs his 22-250 version.  Performance, components, compatibility in an ar15

Not Steve's opinion, but a comparison b/w the two calibers. Don't think the 22-250 will fit the AR15 frame. AR10 should work. But maybe Satern got a version that works.

We are going to do a barrel buy just need to nail down the cost and the features that people want.

I asked Maranda for a quote for 22in fully flutted, mattle black tefon coated , SS with a target crown and matching bolt.

Does that mean not threaded? I'm still not clear which twist works best for the heavier bullets like the 90gr.

I think I have an article I read about MAK 240 and a post about 22-250 mixed up.

I see there is an Olympic Arms 22-250 AR.

So I guess my question to the guys that know, would 22-250 be as good or better than 224 Valkyrie in an AR?

I'm not sure anybody really knows since there's not a lot of barrels out there to test. But the video I linked above and reports I'm hearing about the .224 Val is that it's the better cartridge at long range. Plus, it's made for the AR15 frame.

I am waiting for the tools to arrive for the 22 cal.in the G2 or AR10. The 22-250 is too large for the AR15, also has to much body taper to feed correctly in any AR platform. We are working on that.
